WE are Blackwood Hodge Power Services LTD, and we believe in innovation and technology as the greatest drivers of progress to cater to Uganda’s ever-growing industrial and infrastructural demands. We are a company born in 2015, and today, we lead the power generation, material handling, and water management businesses as one of the most reliable providers of products and services worldwide.
Having several years of deep technical experience drawn from our relationship with renowned global brands such as FG Wilson, Clark and Xylem, we are dedicated to providing world-class solutions that meet the needs of our wide range of clients in Uganda. Our History and Legacy
Blackwood Hodge Power Services LTD started operating in 2015 to mutually benefit from the power generation area with one of the leading global corporations, this time FG Wilson, which has over 50 years of experience in the industry. It was through this partnership that we made top-quality generator sets and spare parts available to Ugandans and became a leading generator solutions provider in Uganda.
We entered an exciting new phase of growth in 2019, when we became part of the Zahid Group through Tamgo International, a development that significantly broadened our capabilities and resources. One such act was the acquisition of Sunrise Trading Company, which further helped us consolidate our market position and enabled us to deliver a broader solution to customers while ensuring high quality and innovation.
In 2022, following the purchase of Clark (the world’s largest manufacturer of material handling gear and creator of our favorite piece) Nothing was added to our range. And with good reason: It enabled us to provide cutting-edge warehouse management and logistics solutions, as well as forklifts and warehouse automation.
Our water solutions capabilities were further strengthened in 2024 when we purchased Xylem pumps, the former number one global leader in innovative water technology. This acquisition allowed us to source advanced water treatment solutions and products of Lowara, Evoqua, Flowserve, Pentair and Godwin; thus enabling us with a wide array of comprehensive water management and purification systems for the Ugandan market.

2. Clark Forklifts – Material Handling Solutions
We know how important logistics and warehouse management is to the excellent economic situation of Uganda. We have access to a large array of material handling solutions through our relationship with Clark, including but not limited to :
- Forklifts & Lift Trucks – From electric forklifts and diesel-powered models to high-capacity lift trucks, we offer material handling equipment from brands that set the standard for productivity and uptime in warehouses and factories.
- Warehouse Automation Solutions -Automation Technology Instruments Use To Run Warehouse Operations Smoothly And It Save Labor Cost And Productivity In Warehouse Process.
3. Xylem Expertise In Water Management Solutions:
Through our purchase of Xylem pumps with its novel water technology, we supply sophisticated water that is clean effective purification and waste treatment systems to address the market requirements in Uganda. Water management service provided by us:
- Commercial Water Purification Systems: Small commercial and industrial size units ranging up to high-efficiency systems for industry, municipalities & business. Clean, safe water for drinking, processing or irrigation.
- Wastewater Treatment Solutions: Advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) systems that can handle the full gamut of municipal and industrial wastewater.
- Pump Solutions: Submersible pumps, pressure boosting systems and wastewater pumps with the most prestigious brands in the industry, such as Lowara, Godwin, Evoqua
