Blackwood Hodge Power Services LTD started operating in 2015 to mutually benefit from the power generation area with one of the leading global corporations, this time FG Wilson, which has over 50 years of experience in the industry. It was through this partnership that we made top-quality generator sets and spare parts available to Ugandans and became a leading generator solutions provider in Uganda.
We entered an exciting new phase of growth in 2019, when we became part of the Zahid Group through Tamgo International, a development that significantly broadened our capabilities and resources. One such act was the acquisition of Sunrise Trading Company, which further helped us consolidate our market position and enabled us to deliver a broader solution to customers while ensuring high quality and innovation.
In 2022, following the purchase of Clark (the world’s largest manufacturer of material handling gear and creator of our favorite piece) Nothing was added to our range. And with good reason: It enabled us to provide cutting-edge warehouse management and logistics solutions, as well as forklifts and warehouse automation.
Our water solutions capabilities were further strengthened in 2024 when we purchased Xylem pumps, the former number one global leader in innovative water technology. This acquisition allowed us to source advanced water treatment solutions and products of Lowara, Evoqua, Flowserve, Pentair and Godwin; thus enabling us with a wide array of comprehensive water management and purification systems for the Ugandan market.
